Alan O’Brien joined Avolon in April 2016 as a Business Analyst with responsibility for the pricing and structuring of aircraft acquisitions, aircraft sales, placement of aircraft and capital raising.
Prior to joining Avolon, Alan worked as a Senior Analyst for the National Treasury Management Agency where he specialised in liquidity risk management, including the design and enhancement of financial models in relation to Ireland’s national revenue, expenditure and debt.
Alan graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor (1st Class Honours) in Management Science and Information Systems Studies and a Masters of Finance, specialising in Risk Management. He is also a Trinity College Scholar. Alan is a charter holder of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association and passed all three levels of the CFA Program on first sitting.
Alan has represented Ireland at international level in basketball and as senior men’s captain in Olympic handball.
