Dan Davy

Head of New Aircraft Deliveries & Engineering Support

As Head of New Aircraft Deliveries and Engineering Support Dan has overall responsibility for technical matters relating to the delivery of new aircraft to Avolon’s customers. He also has overall responsibility for aircraft specifications, engineering modifications and materials support.

Dan began his career in Aviation in 1967 as an Aer Lingus apprentice, eventually becoming a hangar manager in charge of light and heavy maintenance on almost all Boeing model aircraft in addition to the Airbus A330 and A320. Prior to joining Avolon, Dan held various technical management roles at CIT Aerospace.

In 1999, he was appointed Technical Director of Virgin Express Ireland and in 2003 became Technical Director of Eirjet. Both were start-up airlines and Dan was responsible for gaining their respective AOCs from a technical perspective. He has also worked as a technical consultant assisting with the transition of several aircraft.

Dan holds several aircraft licences and management development certificates.
