Melvin Kelly joined Avolon in September 2014 with responsibility for management of technical contract negotiation on aircraft transitions. Melvin has 20 years in the aviation industry in a variety of roles working with engineering firms, airlines and lessors. Melvin started in the Irish Air Corps as an apprentice and later moved to TEAM/FLS Aerospace where he became a licenced engineer. Melvin then worked in Vueling Airlines as maintenance manager negotiating contracts and taking an active part in both aircraft deliveries and redeliveries. In 2010 he moved to Nordic Aviation Capital as VP Asset Management where he participated in new aircraft acquisitions, transitions and lease contract negotiation.
Melvin holds a Part 66 licence and has various certificates and diplomas in aircraft engineering and MRO management. Melvin is a fluent Spanish speaker.
