The AVP Origination, Latin America will be primarily responsible for assisting in aircraft origination and marketing in the Latin America region, to managing and developing business relationships across the region, to meet the business’ aircraft redeployment and growth objectives. The position will report to the VP Latin America and will be based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Work alongside VP Origination, Latin America to pursue new aircraft placement, existing fleet aircraft remarketing and origination of Sale & Leaseback opportunities in the region;
Pursue new aircraft placement, existing fleet aircraft remarketing and origination of Sale & Leaseback opportunities in the Latin America region at a select number of airlines;
Support Head of AMER and Latin America VP in the development and upgrading of airline relationships in the Latin America region, to include travel to visit airline, participation at industry events, and ongoing customer communication;
Develop, nurture and upgrade, with a select number of airlines, relationships in the Latin America region through face-to-face airline coverage (requiring extensive travel across the region), customer events and ongoing business communication with airline counterparts. Nurture multi-level relationships at airlines involving, CCO and CEO as required;
Support Head of AMER/Latin America VP with LOI development, negotiation and execution;
Prepare, negotiate and execute Letters of Intent with airline customers in line with risk and return hurdles;
Prepare and support the VP Latin America with preparation of marketing materials for airlines and marketing plans and strategies for the region;
Support Head of AMER/Latin America VP with customer event planning and, if feasible, manage customer events on behalf of Latin America;
Proactive in obtaining QMI (Quick Market Intel) and preparing timely Meeting Notes to facilitate Avolon’s understanding of pricing trends and client relationships;
Participate and lead, as may be required, cross-functional deal teams on transactions;
Actively participate in project-based business initiatives in Avolon to facilitate the development of the company platform;
Actively participate in Avolon CSR (Corporate & Social Responsibility) initiatives (see TRIBE/CARE);
Collaborate with the Capital Markets and Trading teams to optimise businesses coverage and relationship management of key contacts based in the Latin America region; and
Embrace the key pillars of Avolon TRIBE and CARE across the organisation.

The candidate must be capable of leading cross functional internal teams to bring transactions to a successful conclusion. Essential Skills and Expierence:
Experience in aviation, financing or sales with a minimum of 2 (two) years of industry experience;
An understanding of the key technical issues as they pertain to aircraft operating leases;
Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop, nurture and maintain business relationships, with exposure to cross-border relationships and cultural differences;
Proven commercial acumen and keen understanding of the legal, accounting and commercial issues impacting lease decision-making and business risk/reward hurdles;
Willingness and capability to travel extensively; and
Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a benefit.
