Avolon is a leading global aircraft lessor which has experienced significant growth in the past twelve months. We are now seeking to appoint a Global Compliance Manager based in our Dublin office. This newly created role will report directly to our General Counsel.
Manage Avolon’s Compliance Function, developing and driving the implementation of Compliance Risk Management frameworks, policies, procedures, systems, controls and tools, to effectively manage compliance risk;
Consult and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on Compliance-related matters;
Develop and maintain a register of Compliance Obligations applicable to Avolon across all relevant jurisdictions – (GDPR, ABAC, AML/CTF, Export Control Compliance and Sanction screening etc…);
Complete “Know Your Customer” due diligence of current and prospective counterparties;
Ensure relevant processes and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated in accordance with latest compliance obligations to maintain a strong culture of compliance;
Design and carry out a programme of compliance and operational risk monitoring, preparing reports and findings and agreeing action plans with the management team;
Act as subject matter expert with regards to all relevant regulatory requirements and a point of contact for compliance queries;
Take a lead role in the development and roll out of the compliance training and awareness plan to ensure Avolon’s staff have sufficient training and support to enable them to fully understand and discharge their compliance-related responsibilities;
Be responsible for horizon scanning and development of our future Compliance Strategy;
Fulfil other compliance function roles as required including interaction and communication with the various regulatory authorities as required
The successful candidate will:
Be working in a compliance role with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. You will have a background in law, contracts, accounting or banking with experience in aircraft leasing being an advantage.
You will have a natural affiliation to, and be able to work with our core values of transparency, respect, insightfulness, bravery and ebullience.
You will be a highly organised, self-starter who is able to work autonomously and have a very strong understanding of compliance risks applicable to this industry and how best to mitigate these challenges.

Proven capabilities to set priorities, drive results, and act efficiently and effectively within a complex business and organizational environment.
