In total, the Irish team secured eleven medals (four golds, four silver and three bronze), placing Ireland in 5th position on the medal table, on a per capita basis or 28th based on absolute number of medals (inside the team’s top 30 target).

The Paracycling team exceeded all expectations bringing home a total of five medals, placing the team in the Top 10 based on absolute number of medals won. Eoghan Clifford secured Bronze in the C3 Individual Pursuit and Gold in the C3 Time Trial, Colin Lynch secured Silver in the C2 Time Trial and the tandem duo of Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal secured Gold in the Women’s B Time Trial and Silver in the Women’s B Tandem Road Race.

Avolon’s funds went towards ensuring the team were in top shape for the games, enabling them to receive the nutrition and physio that elite athletes require.

A huge congratulations to the entire team on their individual and team performance, with many of the individuals achieving phenomenal lifetime best performances and coveted top ten finishes as they performed on the biggest of all sporting stages.

A massive thank you also from the Avolon team for raising the spirits of the country over what was a thrilling eleven days of outstanding performances and for exemplifying what commitment, sheer determination and raw talent can deliver.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]paracyclinglogos
