OUR FLEET

NEW TECHNOLOGY
FUEL-EFFICIENT FLEET

We believe that the most impactful near-term action airlines can take to reduce their carbon emissions is to operate the youngest, most fuel-efficient aircraft available in the market. These can reduce the amount of fuel used per seat travelled by up to 30%.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

Ireland’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Opportunity

Ireland has the potential to develop a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry generating revenue of €2.55 billion by 2050 and providing up to 1,000 high-skilled jobs. These are the findings of a feasibility study into the production of SAF in Ireland produced by SkyNRG and SFS Ireland, in a partnership supported by Avolon, Boeing and ORIX Aviation.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

FROM WASTE
TO WONDER

Avolon has partnered with Soisa Aircraft Interiors on a project to turn scrap material from old aircraft into craft products. Waste materials are donated to members of the Tarahumara tribe in Mexico, who make them into traditional artisan products like wallets, bags, aprons and tablecloths. Avolon’s sustainability strategy includes a commitment to support the circular economy by increasing the reuse and recycling of materials from old aircraft in a sustainable manner.

Recycle and Reuse

Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA)

We are pleased to be supporting environmental best practice in the aviation industry, to encourage more recycling and reuse of materials. As a member of AFRA, we are committed to their mission to promote environmental sustainability and responsible end-of-service management of aircraft assets.
