Avolon continues to support the Run in the Dark event renewing their official sponsorship for a second year.

The Run in the Dark, now in its fourth year, was established in response to Mark Pollock’s paralysing accident in 2010. The money raised will go directly to the Mark Pollock Trust, which is funding Mark’s exploration of recovery from spinal cord injury. The trust aims to be a catalyst for collaboration, connecting scientists, technologists and physiologists around the world to mainstream research that is currently on the fringes.

The Run in The Dark is a mass participation annual running event held simultaneously in multiple locations with Dublin being the flagship event. The 2014 event will be taking place on the 12th of November and is expected to attract 15,000 participants in UK & Ireland alone. Events begin in Sydney and follow nightfall around the world with Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Brussels, Paris, London, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, Cork, New York & San Francisco all taking part.

Avolon has been a supporter of the Mark Pollock Trust since its launch four years ago.
