[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Avolon was represented at the Annual Dublin Pride Parade on Saturday 25 June by TRIBE members and their friends and families. Avolon was one of the 106 groups to take part in the parade. All sectors were represented with companies such as Deutsche Bank, EY, Google and Facebook taking part. Political parties including Fianna Fáil, Labour and Fine Gael were also represented.
The parade began at the Garden of Remembrance, continued down O’Connell Street and ended in Merrion Square where the 2016 Pride Village was located. It was an afternoon of music, comedy and entertainment for people of all ages. The festival atmosphere encouraged many to donate to some of the worthy causes that were running collections on the day. One of the main focuses of this year’s festival was raising funds for the families of victims of the Orlando shooting. The festival also celebrated the 1 year anniversary of the Marriage Referendum in Ireland.
It was a loud and joyful event, drawing tens of thousands of people to the streets of the capital for a day of dancing and after parties. Thankfully the weather stayed dry and didn’t dampen any spirits.
