Sponsor an African Scholar (SAAS) runs a sponsorship programme which enables Kenyan students from marginalised communities to attend post primary education – both Secondary and Vocational. This sponsorship is coupled with free student services such as counselling and career guidance.

Avolon has supported SAAS for the last number of years by sponsoring about 20 students per school term, and funding the purchase of important equipment, such as laptops and office furniture for a number of their schools and facilities. This support is continuing in 2024. Many of these students live in homes with no running water or electricity, the ability to learn how to use a computer is a valuable life skill that will provide job opportunities and enable them to support themselves and their families.
