Dublin | 8 February 2023: Avolon, the international aircraft leasing company, is pleased to announce that its Head of Capital Markets & Trading, Paraic Quinn, is running for election to the Board of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT).

Paraic is an experienced aviation leader who has completed over $10 billion aircraft sales since joining Avolon in 2012. He is currently responsible for all Avolon’s fundraising and aircraft trading activity and has deep industry expertise and knowledge to contribute to the ISTAT Board.

Avolon has been a long-term supporter of ISTAT, sponsoring the Women@ISTAT and ISTAT Rising Executives programmes, which are both aimed at diversifying and widening ISTAT’s membership base.

Avolon’s President & Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Geaney, is a current ISTAT Board member, completing his term next month, while former Avolon Head of Strategy, Dick Forsberg, previously served as a Board member for several years.

Andy Cronin, Chief Executive, Avolon commented: “ISTAT plays an important role as the leading forum for networking and education in our industry. Avolon has a long-standing relationship with ISTAT and we are a proud supporter of everything it seeks to foster with the next generation of aviation professionals.

We are delighted to put forward Paraic for the ISTAT Board. We believe that he has the industry experience to make a valuable contribution and I know he will work hard to represent ISTAT members effectively as we enter the next stage of the aviation cycle.”

ISTAT members will be able to vote from 20 February to 6 March.
