In honour of International Women’s Day on March 6th, Avolon sponsored a table for 10 staff members at the annual luncheon in aid of An Cosán.

In honour of International Women’s Day on March 6th, Avolon sponsored a table at the annual luncheon in aid of An Cosán. Since 1986, An Cosán has provided “second chance” community based education to the residents of Tallaght West. They offer a variety of programmes for all age groups including early years education and care, parenting programmes and community and higher education. Throughout the lunch, attendees listened to first-hand accounts from those who completed higher education programmes and the positive impact it had on their lives. Many would not have returned to school had it not been for the range of support An Cosán provided including on-site childcare, counselling and access to computers. Overall the event raised €35,000 with €12,000 raised day-of through personal donations. These funds will ensure the ongoing sustainability of An Cosán’s services in the Tallaght area.
