On 13 October, Avolon took part in Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light Night for the second year with 21 staff members sleeping rough to raise vital funds for homeless people and to stand in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today.

On 13 October, Avolon took part in Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light Night for the second year with 21 staff members sleeping rough to raise vital funds for homeless people and to stand in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today. This is the second year that Avolon has participated in Shine a Line Night, with participants raising more than €13,000 for the charity, which has been matched by Avolon. The day began with a cake sale as part of the fundraising efforts, with staff, friends and family donating generously to the cause. Local businesses Maia, Centra and KC Peaches supplied food and hot drinks for the evening and Energie Gym supplied gym mats for the night. Focus Ireland has more than 30 years’ experience working and supporting homeless people to move into secure homes. Homelessness goes beyond sleeping rough, with close to 8000 people living in unsuitable temporary accommodation all over Ireland.
