Fort Lauderdale, Florida June 14, 2018 Nan Knox Club, Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County Supporting the development and education of children and youths in our community aligns perfectly with the Avolon’s CARE initiative. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is to enable all youths, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. For the Americas CARE Day 2018, 26 members of Avolon’s team based in our New York, Fort Lauderdale, and Sao Paulo offices joined together to transform outdoor and indoor areas of the Nan Knox Club into useable spaces, enabling the club’s summer program and after-school initiatives to be successful. The Avolon team renewed the garden space, constructed picnic tables and planters, and reinvigorated the club signage to create a welcoming environment for boys and girls to learn, socialize, and develop their potential. The Club is proud of its strong connection to aviation, hosting an avionics and flight simulator educational program that is unique to boys and girls clubs across America. Our efforts supported the Club’s program by donating computers and helping to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. Avolon’s Americas team aims to continue to support the Nan Knox Club on future projects, staying engaged with Boy & Girls Clubs community.
