Asia CARE Day

On 20 June 2018, the Hong Kong and Singapore office geared up for the first Regional CARE Day in Asia in collaboration with the Splash Community Projects team. The project this year was to build a Noah’s Ark for the Salvation Army Centaline Charity Fund School located in Chai Wan where 46% of the school’s children are receiving financial assistance and supported by the Textbook Assistance Scheme in Hong Kong, and one fifth of the children enrolled are in Special Needs Education.

A lot of muscle strength and sweat went into building a Noah’s Ark, a bridge connecting the ark and land, two benches, and a teacher’s chair in hopes of giving students additional space outdoors for more interactive lessons outside a traditional classroom and extra recreational area for play during recess and lunchtime. Although it was a tough day, but every drop of sweat was worth it when we saw students and parents showed up at the end of the day filled with awe and excitement! Well done and thank you to everyone who participated in the first Regional Asia CARE Day 2018.
