The R.B. Memorial English School is an English Medium School in West Bengal established in January 2015 by Bharat Karki. The school was set up to provide opportunities to local children so that they can avail of English language and IT skills currently only made available to affluent families.

The R.B. Memorial English School is an English Medium School in West Bengal established in January 2015 by Bharat Karki. The school was set up to provide opportunities to local children so that they can avail of English language and IT skills currently only made available to affluent families. For some of the children, the school provides first time access to IT facilities such as video and audio visual. Enrolment started with 60 students and is expected to grow to 150 for the next school year. Many of the children come from outside the town and travel by foot up to an hour each way to attend the school. In April of this year, the school purchased a school bus to help facilitate travel to and from school for their students and families. In order to finance the cost of the school bus a substantial loan was taken on by the school. To help alleviate some of the pressure on the school, Avolon has contributed €7,500 towards the payment of the loan and running costs of the school bus for one year which will be paid out over two instalments in the upcoming 12 months.
