On 26 May, Avolon’s CARE Committee teed off at the annual Golf Classic to support the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (RCC).

On 26 May, Avolon’s CARE Committee teed off at the annual Golf Classic to support the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (RCC). The event was held at the Castle Golf Club, Rathfarnham and raised EUR24,000 from participants thanks to Avolon’s sponsorship covering all costs. The money raised by the event will go directly to DRCC’s 24-hour, 365-days a year helpline. DRCC provides a wide range of services to women and men affected by rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and childhood sexual abuse. The money raised is used for frontline services and proceeds from the event will have a big influence on DRCC’s work which helps victims of crime heal, recover and survive their experiences to improve their mental health and well-being. DRCC is now able to employ an additional part-time therapist to offer more appointments to victims, helping to alleviate long waiting times. For more information, please visit www.drcc.ie
