For the fourth consecutive year, Avolon participated in the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) Annual Golf Classic. This year the event was held at The Castle GC on the 5th of June, with Gareth Halpin, Stephen O’Flanagan and Aidan Bodkin playing on behalf of Avolon.

Sponsorship of the Annual Dublin Rape Crisis Golf Classic For the fourth consecutive year, Avolon participated in the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) Annual Golf Classic. This year the event was held at The Castle GC on the 5th of June, with Gareth Halpin, Stephen O’Flanagan and Aidan Bodkin playing on behalf of Avolon. Despite their best efforts, the lack of a fourth teammate contributing to the scorecard proved too difficult a gap to bridge and the gents left empty handed for the first time in Avolon’s history. Avolon donated €8,500 to the DRCC in connection with the Golf Classic, with all funds raised by the event going directly to the support of DRCC’s 24-hour, 365-days a year helpline. DRCC provides a wide range of services to women and men who are affected by rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment or childhood sexual abuse, including the helpline and one-on-one counselling. DRCC runs a number of training and development programmes for individuals and organisations to raise awareness on topics of sexual violence, preventing and dealing with bullying, harassment and sexual harassment.
